To honor our military students for their resilience and courage, Rhodes Elementary School will host a "Military Child Appreciation Week" next week. We encourage all of our students to join in on the celebration by participating in next week's fun dress up days, showing support and appreciation for our military families.

The Controlled Open Enrollment transfer period for Santa Rosa County will begin on April 3rd and go through May 18th. Beginning April 3rd you can access the Transfer Form, the 26-27 School Choice Plan, and the 26-27 Controlled Open Enrollment Capacity Chart on our school district’s website under school choice. Directions for completing the transfer form and submitting it can also be found on the district’s website. Parents without internet can pick up a paper copy from the front office. If you have questions regarding the transfer process, please contact your student’s Grade Level Director at 850 983-5150. Thank you and have a good evening.

This is a reminder that the last day to order a yearbook is Friday, February 6th. Remember, you can order the yearbooks online too. The cost is $37.
This is just a reminder that tickets for the Sweetheart Dance are still available. The dance is next Friday, Feb 6 from 5-7pm. There will be a live DJ, refreshments, photo opportunity, prize raffles, and fun items for sale. Money and forms can be sent in to your child’s teacher or tickets can be purchased at the front office. We look forward to seeing you on the dance floor and thank you for supporting our Kindergarten team!

As part of the district's efforts to identify and provide services for students who qualify for McKinney-Vento/Homeless Services, we are sending a second wave of Student Housing Questionnaire forms. Your student should bring home a green residency form this week. Only one form per family needs to be completed. We would like to have all forms returned by February 6th.

Our Annual Sweetheart Dance is coming up soon! See the flyer for details on this popular event. Flyers for this event will also go home tomorrow with all students. Money can either be sent to classroom teachers or parents can stop by the front office to purchase tickets. Please note- due to limited capacity, tickets are limited and sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Milton Police Department received an anonymous call regarding a possible threat to Hobbs Middle School.
Out of an abundance of caution, our school is currently in a secure facility while law enforcement investigates. All students and staff are safe, and there is no immediate danger at this time.
We are working closely with law enforcement and will provide updates as more information becomes available. Law enforcement is on site at Hobbs Middle School.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as safety remains our top priority. Thank you for your continued support.
