Splish Splash Water Slide Bash! WNP's PTO is planning an unforgettable day of excitement! We're bringing out the fun with inflatable water slides, jumpers, and cool pops to get you ready for summer! To ensure your child can dive right in, please sign and return a waiver by May 9. This waiver is necessary for your child to participate in all the water-filled fun. Please have your child wear their bathing suit under their clothes and bring a towel and change of clothes. Also, please apply sunscreen/SPF to your child, as school policy prohibits teachers and staff from supplying or applying sunscreen/SPF to students. This event will take place during your child's scheduled PE time on Friday, May 16. Due to the fast paced schedule for Water Day, this event is closed to parents. We appreciate your understanding!

For the month of April, we have an awesome opportunity to help support some community groups within our feeder school areas! With warm weather and busy family schedules approaching, the number of pets surrendered increases this time of year significantly. We have the ability to help alleviate some of the financial and supply strain of this within our area! As a school-wide effort, we will gather donation items for two local, animal support/fostering groups within Navarre (Sunshine State Animal Rescue) and Gulf Breeze (Homeless Paws of FL). The attached picture has all of the great details on how we, our students, and their families can help! We will be collecting donation items in boxes in the cafeteria for the entire month. As the boxes become full, we will deliver the donated items to their respective locations. This isn't a contest, but a collective opportunity to bring to life to our students the great feeling of helping make a "Pawsitive Difference" within our communities! Please join in helping to spread the word to help make this an overwhelmingly successful community campaign!

The Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) is a progress monitoring system that is administered three times per year to track your student’s progress in learning the Benchmarks of Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards throughout this school year. The results from PM3 will show how well your student has mastered the grade level content standards, and your school will provide information about how to access the results. FAST assessments are computer-adaptive tests taken on a computer or tablet. The questions get easier or more difficult depending on how the student responds, and each student will see different questions. If you or your student would like to review sample test items at home, visit https://flfast.org/families.html. For this test administration, the school district has set specific dates for each grade level to complete their tests. The schedule is below. The Star Early Literacy assessment typically takes less than 15 minutes to complete. The Star Reading assessment is usually completed in less than 20 minutes, and the Star Math assessment typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. For more information about the Florida Statewide Assessments program, please visit the portal at FLFAST.org. Thank you for supporting your student and encouraging him or her to do his or her best during this test administration. Test Dates April 15: Kindergarten Star Early Literacy PM 3 April 16: Kindergarten Star Math PM 3 April 17: 1st Grade Star Reading PM 3 -- April 22: 1st Grade Star Math PM 3 April 23: 2nd Grade Star Reading PM 3 April 24: 2nd Grade Star Math PM 3

For our morning car riders: -If you arrive before 7:35, please park at the church so our staff can enter the parking lot. -Please do not exit the church parking lot to line up in the WNP line until after 7:35. -Students should sit on the right side of the vehicle and be ready to exit. -Parents should not exit the vehicle while in line. -Please be courteous to our parents who are turning onto Lowe Road from eastbound 98. Westbound cars should turn in and remain on the right side of Lowe Rd. and gently merge into the traffic. This will leave the left lane open for the eastbound car riders using a zipper-merge technique. For our afternoon car riders: -Remember your car rider tags and have them on display. -Please do not block driveways or cross streets while waiting in line. -Please do not arrive until after 2:10 pm. We do not begin moving the line until 2:25 pm. -Please be courteous to parents entering the car rider line from cross streets. -If you need to buckle your child in their seat, please pull up and out of the way so we can continue to keep our car rider line moving.
